Olive Garden Five Cheese Ziti al Forno Review

The Five Cheese Ziti al Forno is an Italian specialty at Olive Garden which consists of baked blend of Italian cheeses, pasta, and their signature five cheese marinara sauce. Overall it all comes together for a surprisingly delightful meal.

The meal itself is a whopping 1,220 calories, so if you’re on a diet, skip this one and get a salad instead. However, if you are very hungry, this is a great choice, especially since you can eat half now and half later. At around $12.49 price, it is actually a pretty good value in my eyes.

First Glance

When you first look at it, you will probably like what you see, I know I did. It looks very creamy and gooey, and it’s put together so neatly. You tell yourself right away there’s no way this could be disappointing. Or could it?

First Bite

Eating the Ziti al Forno reaffirmed my thought that this is one tasty and delicious meal from Olive Garden.

It is definitely cheesy, but not to the point where it makes the whole thing greasy. Even if you’re not a huge fan of cheese, you’ll probably be fine with this meal.

The marinara sauce is really really good. It’s not too tart or sour, it’s very easy on your taste buds and your stomach will thank you later on as well. Some marinara sauces hit you really hard and you pay for it later on. Not this one.

The pasta itself is not too shabby either.

If you like cheese, then you will love this meal. If you don’t like cheese, then you might still like this meal, but just go easy on it. Don’t try to finish the whole thing as it is heavy in calories as is.
